Joining a Badger Group

If you are not already a member of a Badger Group why not join one. You will find there is a lot of work to be done in respect of Scotland's Badgers and groups are only too happy to welcome new members.

One of the things that put most people off is their lack of knowledge regarding badgers, please don't let this stop you!. Once you join you will receive training with an experienced fieldworker and quickly realise how much you are needed. Even a couple of hours a month can help and the satisfaction of knowing you are helping conserve and manage wildlife is a great feeling.

The work carried out by Scottish Badger Groups is vital. There is still much to be done and if everyone can contribute in whatever way they can then perhaps badgers will continue to be an important part of our wildlife.

If you are interested in Badgers and their conservation or would like to join a local Badger Group, please contact any of the local groups directly. If there are no groups or contacts in your area please contact the development officer for advice.
