I have again this week been out at an incident in which a badger was caught in a snare and despite the legislation it was left there to die a long death, hanging from the fence on which it had been caught.

I wonder how many more animals have to die in such a cruel and indiscriminate fashion before the Scottish Government does a "U" turn and bans these horrible traps,
